The Portsdown team recently travelled to Munich, where they attended the opening of the Steelcase Learning + Innovation Center in this vibrant German city.
The Munich Learning + Innovation Center is a 14,400 sq m space designed for employees, dealers, customers, influencers and guests from around the world to lead, learn and innovate together. The three-building campus houses over 230 employees and includes a stunning WorkCafé, Model Shop and Test Lab, learning studios, and one of Europe’s largest doors!
Along with sampling some of the local delights and of course, the obligatory sight-seeing, the team spent 2 days topping up their knowledge of some of the most recently released Steelcase products as well as some exciting new pieces due to be launched later in the year.
The main focus of the visit was the recently released, and aesthetically stunning Silq Chair - a breakthrough in seating design which responds to the unique movements of your body. The way you move, is the way it moves.
Other key products explored included the Series 1, a highly customisable office chair available in 11 mix-and-match knit, flexor and lumbar colours, and a wide range of shell and finish options, and the Migration height-adjustable desk which allows users to transition from seated to standing height postures, stimulating mental and physical activity and promoting wellbeing in individual and group workspaces.
